There's always variety of course, but from most slides I've seen in humans, they tend to be a little under a centimeter in diameter. --David Iberri (talk) 06:12, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is this an article on the human corpus luteum or the mammalian? Because it references different animals at points, but then mentions hCG as if all mammals secreted it. Also, not sure of how best to add it, but some mammals (mainly ruminants) secrete oxytocin from the corpus luteum, too.
