Speaking events

[edit]

I removed the following segment:

In July, Dudley declined to participate in the first gubernatorial debate hosted by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, citing a conflict with a previously scheduled family vacation in Aspen, Colorado. While in Aspen, Dudley also attended a conference of the Republican Governors Association.

This might work better in the Oregon gubernatorial election, 2010 page than in Dudley's personal page, if it is pertinent enough to be included in Wikipedia at all. We can't start listing every campaign event that is accepted and every event that is turned down by candidates for a political office. That kind of detail is unnecessary on Wikipedia. If anyone feels that the acceptance and decline of campaign events does need to be included on Wikipedia, lets discuss it here first. Eaglecap Backpack (talk) 16:18, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
