Charles Bulger designed the house at 1315 24th St, Galveston, Texas. It is a Texas Historical landmark. He designed the house for my great-great-aunt and uncle, James N. Davis and Ella Rust Davis. The year after the house was completed, the 1900 storm struck, the house stood strong. The watermark is still on the bannister for the stairs in the hallway. They had a cow that they brought inside and took it upstairs. Ironically, Uncle Nat downed in the gulf two years later, trying to save a family member who visiting for the fourth of July. https://www.galveston.com/whattodo/tours/self-guided-tours/historical-markers/james-n-davis-house/ 166.137.115.27 (talk) 18:27, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
