Xbox 360 and Windows?

Where is the reference for this? I've seen nothing of the sort -- Anonymous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.12.121 (talk) 20:52, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

IGN's pages list both 360 and PC releases. --MASEM 20:55, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
IGN is not a reliable source, not only do they put up rumored games, but also rumors on exclusivity. This should be listed as TBA until there's an official announcement from Rockstar. Also, a change of the items such as input method, etc. should be changed to reflect that. 12.205.215.156 (talk) 09:21, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Why should an announcement from Rockstar be required? Rockstar is a subsidary of Take 2 Interactive, not the owner of 2K. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.231.24.146 (talk) 15:18, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Merge

Since this game was only very recently announced, it should not really have it's own article because there is not a lot of information available on the video game at this time, and until there is, I feel we should merge it.--EclipseSSD (talk) 20:16, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

As a sequel to an especially popular title, one would expect that more information is on its way. So there could be two debates: whether we should merge, then whether BS2 deserves its own page when its section is more developed. Or there could be zero in the case that we keep this page and add info as it comes. I'm for the latter - I'll add a stub tag but keep the merge tag so others can discuss. I'd like to know if articles like Halo 2 or the various Splinter cell games had their own pages at first, but I can't figure out the history pages well enough to tell... Orthografer (talk) 19:55, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Quite a bit of information has been released on this game, enough to warrant its own article page. Dreadnaught (talk) 14:27, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Own Page

Other games like Halo 3 , Halo 2 had pages prior to release and this game deserves its own page and since it has raised a lot of hype from advertisements and marketing websites, it is now considered a game in production. Stop forcing people to see your article when its not related to the topic they are searching for. If i WP: BioShock 2 I want a article about BioShock 2 and not BioShock 1.FplusPS3 (talk) 08:45, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about as the article clearly does have its own page. If you are referring to the commentary above, please note the age of the comments - almost a year old. SynergyBlades (talk) 13:37, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Ten/Seven years

A number of editors have altered both or either mentions of the date to be ten or seven years. Which is it? SynergyBlades (talk) 23:59, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

The clippings from teaser site are 7 years after, however the article from Game Informer says the game itself is about 10 years after. 66.27.236.118 (talk) 04:26, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Well seeing as how GameInformer said Killzone 2 was for Xbox 360 | PS3 | PC, i don't see how they can be right Vs. the Company that's making the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.164.254.129 (talk) 08:58, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

It is confirmed that it takes place 10 years after the events of Bioshock. It has been confirmed on G4tv.com/thefeed by the games producers. Gundam94 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.130.45.226 (talk) 18:11, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Plot

With all the rumors floating around (including the commies invasion of Rapture and the one shown on the wiki page) is it right to have a plot announced before we know what it actually is? Pillinjer (talk) 07:11, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

The basic plot with the Big Sister comes from the Game Informer article, and is official. The only other "rumour" was the investigator/communist/spliced animals one, which has long been ousted as false. SynergyBlades (talk) 16:12, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Citation for the plot? It seems to me that there is none, as the links presently included take me back to the article rather than to an outside source, given that we are dealing with the April edition of a gaming magazine it seems entirely possible that there is an April Fools prank in progress. I would say the plot and gameplay details need to be removed until proper citation is available. Fyndir (talk) 19:31, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Title discrepancy

When this sequel was first hinted at with the PS3 version of BioShock's trailer, the title was revealed as "BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams," correct? Apparently between then and now the title was shortened, but reading through this article does not clarify why, and actually seems to affirm that the title still includes the "Sea of Dreams" phrase (see Development section). Was there some announcement from the developer I missed that confirmed the title was changed to just "BioShock 2"? In any case, the article should be updated to reflect that the subtitle has been officially dropped. -- Commdor {Talk} 22:57, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, even "officially dropped" is not confirmed. It still could be B2: Sea of Dreams, and only truntacted to B2 during this phase. We'll reflect name changes once the game is officially announced. --MASEM (t) 23:02, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Ah, so it wasn't dropped at all, it's just not official to begin with. I can see why, since none of the recent features I've read had included the subtitle; I was just wondering what happened to it. Thanks for clearing that up. -- Commdor {Talk} 23:08, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
the subtitle apparently has been dropped [1][2] 59.101.56.6 (talk) 09:13, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Mark Meltzer

Should we mention that the man investigating the disappearances in the viral site is Mark Meltzer? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.182.131.128 (talk) 16:21, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Really, the only notable thing about the viral site is that it exists. Unless the media runs with it, the details aren't notable. ~Auzemandius {talk/contrib} 21:00, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Not Sea of Dreams

According to IGN BioShock two will not be coming out under the name "Sea of Dreams". Until further information on it's title is revealed this article needs to be moved back to BioShock 2--173.57.73.152 (talk) 22:50, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

But that article is dated the 19th. The Eurogamer article that cites 2K Games, who say it will be Sea of Dreams, was published on the 23rd. Hence, we use the latest information. SynergyBlades (talk) 23:01, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
And more specifically, 2k reitereated that the SoD subtitle will be used despite the previous statement. --MASEM (t) 23:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Its not sea of dreams: Article dated april 2nd confirms it http://ps3.ign.com/articles/969/969139p1.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.41.240.199 (talk) 19:09, 2 April 2009 (UTC) Considering an article has been done on the confusion of the unstable subtitle, perhaps a blurb should be added about the confusion surrounding the nonsubtitling. ~Auzemandius {talk/contrib} 21:53, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

autumn = q3?

Isn't autumn Q3 rather than Q4? Mallerd (talk) 13:01, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Release Date?

Amazon.com is stating a release date of January 31st, 2010. Would Amazon be considered a reliable source? Here is the link to the search page showing the release date:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_1_3?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=bioshock+2&sprefix=bio

Now I know release dates are always subject to change, but should we edit the page to reflect this information? Moviemaniacx (talk) 14:42, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Vendor sites are never reliable for release dates prior to the release of the work. --MASEM (t) 14:48, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Just finded out the new main antagonist of BioShock 2

Her name is Sofia Lamb, a political rival of Andrew Ryan that has, since Ryan and Fontaine deaths took over Rapture, she created a religion called the Rapture Family to recruit more Splicers to her army, she's also the one that has taken Little Sisters and turned her into Big Sisters to watch over her city, all of this can be seen in the latest GT episode, confirmed by the developers. Box art

The North American box art was revealed today (November 17) and I was wondering if anybody could change it. I don't know how (no skills) so I was hoping that somebody else could. Robinder93 (talk) 01:26, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
