Size changing

[edit]

I don't think that the characters are changing size at any time. I don't believe that Bin shrinks so that she can ride the duck and be picked up by the bird taxi, all the characters seem to be just small all the time. If that is true then all the buildings must be small as well. Maybe the animals are simply huge. --Squilibob 07:10, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are scenes where everything around Binchō-tan is much larger than her than usual. —Tokek 01:09, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Binchou is shown being small enough to sit in a shoe (to deodorize it) and a pot of cooking rice, and other times as large enough to pick up a pot of rice. —Quasirandom (talk) 02:05, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not quite sure how to use this, but per ANN Binchou-tan won the 2004 Grand Prix Japan Otaku Award as an exemplar of moe anthropomorphism. (This would be for the mascot, as it predates the anime.) —Quasirandom (talk) 02:06, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heh on the Goodies. I've also seen reviews of a Binchō-tan figure wearing her kimono. —Quasirandom (talk) 14:18, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chiku-tan and Aroe's names origins

[edit]

"She is named after takesumi; bamboo charcoal, as chikurin means 'bamboo grove'."

I think Chiku-tan is directly named after chikurin as the bamboo which dressed her hair is still green, not charcoal.

"Aroe's Aloe made hair[...]" could be the occasion to explain that "Aroe" is the romanization of "Aloe".
