Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Bibliography of works on Madonna. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Bibliography

[edit]
I changed the "Bibliography" section to a subsection. This is a relatively minor adjustment but as a section this title is usually placed first in the appendixes related to biographies or named "Works or publications", "Discography", or "Filmography" per MOS:BIB. Using a separate source related "Bibliography" section is confusing, appears to be out of place, and follows a small number of like articles. We commonly practice placing related subjects in a subsection (hierarchy) so it seems appropriate to follow this with source links (generally listed), and links providing inline text-source integrity, that combined form the citations.
  • Multiple dictionaries give the definitions of bibliography:
    • 1)-"A list of the books of a specific author or publisher, or on a specific subject. ("a bibliography of his publications")". This is commonly placed in a "Works" section (for biographies only) per MOS/layout, but also common as a "Bibliography" section, and not related to sourcing.
    • 2)- "A list of the books referred to in a scholarly work, usually printed as an appendix."
It is recommended in MOS:BIB that "Bibliography" not be used concerning "Works" of an author but it is commonly used. Add to this that the title uses the word. As a subsection of "References" there is no confusion it is source related. Otr500 (talk) 22:20, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
