Is Anna Bay a bay?

[edit]

Hi there, AussieLegend; According to the GNB and GA, it is a bay. See here and {{Gazetteer of Australia }}. Rangasyd (talk) 12:25, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As is explained in the article Anna Bay is the name of a town, a suburb and a bay, all of which are in the Port Stephens Council LGA. However, the bay is not in the suburb or town, which are the subjects of this article, so this article should not be in Category:Bays of New South Wales. The bay is about 1 km away in the adjacent suburb of One Mile. The confusion as to the location of the bay is why its location (the adjacent suburb of One Mile) was specified in the article, and why citations for all 3 names were included. "The suburb and town draw their name from the nearby bay", which you added is redundant to "Anna Bay was named after the bay of the same name which is now located in the adjacent suburb of One Mile", which was already in the article. "That faces the Tasman Sea" is relevant to the One Mile article, but not this one, as the bay is not in this suburb. --AussieLegend () 13:04, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification and the fixes by adding One Mile to both the template and the category. Cheers, in good faith. Rangasyd (talk) 12:00, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
