First QATB building in Qld

The ambulance service commenced in 1982 in Brisbane as the City Ambulance Transport Brigade ( CATB ). In 1900 a committee was formed after Supt Nye Stevens of the CATB visited Charters Towers. In 1900 CATB Charters Towers was established . In 1902 the service changed its name to Qld Ambulance Transport Brigade. In 1903 the Charters Towers Ambulance building was built and branded QATB. The second Ambulance building built and the first QATB building . The second QATB building was built in Townsville ( est 1901) Ravenswood Ambulance was the third QATB building built ( est in 1902).
