This is a great book. I have it and I would like to put a low-resolution scan of its cover to illustrate the article. But last time I did this the image was removed. Is there a way of doing this? If so, I would like to know what is it step by step please.Mohonu (talk) 04:01, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment Rationale: Start-Class

[edit]

Coverage and Accuracy: The article provides some details about the novel, primarily through quotes from notable writers like Salman Rushdie and Anthony Burgess, highlighting its literary importance. However, key areas like a comprehensive plot summary, deeper analysis, and detailed context about the novel's creation are lacking.

References: The article cites some reputable sources, such as Salman Rushdie's commentary and academic perspectives from Amardeep Singh. However, several key statements are marked with "citation needed," indicating gaps in verifiability.

Structure: The article has a basic structure, including sections for literary significance and reception, but it lacks additional sections that could enrich the content, such as themes, characters, and cultural impact.

Grammar and Style: The article is mostly well-written, but there are instances where language can be tightened for clarity. Additionally, more objective tone and less reliance on long quotes would improve the overall flow.

Supporting Materials: The image of the book cover is present, but there are no additional images, charts, or infographics that could enhance the understanding of the novel's significance.

To elevate the article to a higher grade, more details about the plot, analysis, themes, and further references to scholarly articles or critical reviews would be required. Bookleo (talk) 19:53, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
