The article may be improved by following the WikiProject Biography 11 easy steps to producing at least a B article. -- KGV (Talk) 09:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of Jeremiah Tower? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremiah_Tower 68.161.181.214 (talk) 03:38, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its very short, considering how influential she and her restaurant have been. More detail is needed regarding her work and effect on American cuisine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.71.203.193 (talk) 21:05, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be updating this bio substantially, including information on Waters' effect on American cuisine, etc. MiaRM (talk) 17:23, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POV insertions by interest group

Final heading (Interesting facts and questions about Alice Waters) should be changed, no? Hutchie6 (talk) 18:41, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. the whole shark fin thing is some interest group trying to make a cheap attack. 64.132.221.211 (talk) 17:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've now removed this shark fin stuff (the obviously out of place Boudain stuff) at least 3 times, and it's back again now. It has no place in the article (refer to Wikipedia's "handling trivia" guidelines) so please stop adding this. Hutchie6 (talk) 20:31, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's undue weight, improperly referenced, and an obvious case of a special interest group fighting for attention. I'll request semi-protection of the article if this continues. Thanks for removing the content, Hutchie6. APK straight up now tell me 02:32, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note to editors: I don't see how it's appropriate to call Alcie Waters a chef. Has she ever held the position of chef, anywhere? As far as I can tell from this and other Wikipedia articles, she was never chef at Chez Panisse. She was an owner, but always hired others to be executive chef and chef de cuisine. She is a restauranteur, activist, author, and pundit. May a cooking enthusiast. Not a chef. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.120.227.48 (talk) 19:21, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Background: word choice of “enigmatically”

[edit]

“She claims, enigmatically, that food is a way of life and not just something to eat.”

Why is this enigmatic? I suggest removing the word. 73.93.27.179 (talk) 16:58, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
