Object of Aiud redirects here, but I can not find any information on it here. Why does it redirect here, and the search box even autocompletes the words "object of Aiud" halfway through, when there is no mention of it here? I think this needs to be fixed or some kind of archeological description needs to be added at least mentioning the object, possibly with an external link (such as this one http://circa71.wordpress.com/2011/02/14/the-aluminum-wedge-of-aiud-2/ ) for furthere reading on the subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.196.10.140 (talk) 01:01, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like a replaceable tooth on a backhoe bucket. Photos of the object show most of it is badly corroded, but 2 holes are in pristine condition, which indicates something was in there, probably a linchpin of some type to secure it in place. Most sites claim it is between 3000 and 2.5 million years old. It looks to me to be no more than 50 years old. Badon (talk) 08:51, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
