Eye of the Needle a single?

[edit]

Just because the song was used for promotional purposes does not make the track a single. --Another Believer (Talk) 04:31, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I just noticed that info in the lead and removed it (along with the alleged release of "Big Girls Cry" as the third single). Mayast (talk) 20:59, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Which means some updating is probably needed at Eye of the Needle (song), too? --Another Believer (Talk) 21:01, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think that until someone provides a source saying that it was indeed released as a single (digital download, CD single/7" vinyl, or at least an official radio release), it should be listed as a song from the album that has charted. Some time ago I asked the WikiProject Songs about such an "iTunes instant grat", and they said it didn't qualify as a single. Mayast (talk) 15:47, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure if I should have changed any of the parameters, but I did change from infobox single to infobox song. ----Another Believer (Talk) 15:56, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in 1000 Forms of Fear

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 1000 Forms of Fear's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "spin":

  • From Spin (magazine): George Raine (March 1, 2006). "S.F. group buys 20-year-old rock music magazine Spin". San Francisco Chronicle. Retrieved 2007-10-17.
  • From Soon We'll Be Found: Fitzmaurice, Larry (11 September 2008). "New Sia Video: "Soon We'll Be Found"". Spin Magazine. Retrieved 15 November 2008.
  • From Perfume (Britney Spears song): Hogan, Marc (November 4, 2013). "Britney Spears' Ballad 'Perfume' Smells Winningly Human". Spin. Retrieved November 5, 2013.
  • From Pretty Hurts (song): Mistry, Anupa (December 16, 2013). "Beyonce Outdoes Herself (and Everyone Else) With the Humanizing, Superhuman 'Beyonce'". Spin. Retrieved June 2, 2014.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 02:29, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Greg Kurstin should be more prominent

[edit]

Heya - I changed the producer credit in the info box to reflect that Greg Kurstin produced the entire album and that Diplo co-produced "Elastic Heart." It was re-edited - it now lists Greg Kurstin, Diplo, and Jesse Shatkin as producers with no differentiation in their roles. Which I now realize conforms to MOS. But every track was produced by Kurstin -- Diplo co-produced one song and Jesse Shatkin co-produced one song - and the press cites Greg as the album producer and frequently refers to him as her collaborator. The list below is a small sampling:

I think the article needs to substantially reflect Kurstin's involvement in 1000 Forms of Fear' but I don't want to make the change without consensus. JSFarman (talk) 17:23, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
