Shorey, also spelled Shourie, is a surname of the native upper castes [such as Brahmins] or the land lords of Northern Central Punjab around Lahore (now in Pakistan) known famously in the olden times for their water wells for irrigation called Shorian da khoo (water wells of the Shoreys ), and of Europeans too.
