Santosh is a 2024 Hindi-language crime drama film written and directed by Sandhya Suri. It is produced Internationally by BBC Film, BFI and others set in small of India[1][2][3][4][5]

Santosh had its world premiere at the Un Certain Regard section of the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 20 May 2024.[6] It was selected as the UK's entry for the Best International Feature Film for the 97th Academy Awards.[7][8][9]

Plot

It is about a 28-year-old widow who takes her late husband's job as a police officer and has to investigate the case of a young girl's murder.

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of 14 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.8/10.[10] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 76 out of 100, based on 6 critics, indicating "generally favorable" reviews.[11]
