My quiz has been created about few weeks ago but nobody seems to know my quiz. I have already listed it at WP:FUN but I still get no response! How can I tell the others about my quiz and link it to this portal(Also, change it's name to Portal:Animals/Quiz)?{{helpme}}--Mark Chung (talk) 01:35, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you wait a couple of days to see if anyone responds with a recommendation re changing the name of the quiz, and if nobody responds, then be bold and change the name to what you think it should be. Or possibly just be bold without asking first: use your judgement. I'm not familiar with portals and quizzes so I don't know. You can look at Portal:Fish to see how they made a link to the quiz. It looks as if they added it with this wikitext: {{/box-header|''The Fish Quiz''|{{FULLPAGENAME}}/The Fish Quiz|}} {{{{FULLPAGENAME}}/The Fish Quiz}} {{/box-footer|}} ; You can see that by clicking "edit" on the fish portal and looking at the wikitext in there. If you still need help, feel free to ask me a question on my talk page or use the helpme template again. --Coppertwig (talk) 02:48, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I posted a new question to the quiz. It's at MFD. I'll modify the rules of the quiz so the contest isn't likely to stall like that ever again. SunDragon34 (talk) 00:37, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mammals portal

[edit]

Someone should add Portal:Mammals to the related portals section. Jack (talk) 16:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone did. GreenReaper (talk) 07:20, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Furry portal

[edit]

Why is Portal:Furry included in the related portals section? Furries are fictional, anthropomorphic animal characters, according to the portal. This does not seem to be related to the biological study of animals. I'll wait a couple of days for any discussion before removing it.--Vaihead (talk) 22:00, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What makes you think that a portal named "animals" is restricted to the biological study of animals? This is an encyclopedia, not a biology textbook. :-) GreenReaper (talk) 05:39, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The introduction to the portal implies to me that this portal is primarily concerned with the biological study of animals. The Animal page also is devoted to the biological aspect of the word, with no mention of fictional animals. This portal is also listed under the category of science portals. Since there are no other references to fictional animals in this portal, it seems like a bit of a non sequitur to me.Vaihead (talk) 21:46, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
