Request to add the McMurry War Hawks in the list of college colors.

["McMurry War Hawks"] = {"6F1830", "FFFFFF", "00000", name1="Maroon", name3="black", cite=""McM Logos". Retrieved July 9, 2024."}, Thetreesarespeakingtome (talk) 02:17, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Paine Ellsworth, not to intrude, but any word? Thetreesarespeakingtome (talk) 17:07, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Thetreesarespeakingtome: the McMurry War Hawks are already in the list at line 1138 with slightly different colors and an a.k.a. as the "McMurray Indians". Do you want to replace that entry? P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 17:36, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please. Thetreesarespeakingtome (talk) 17:38, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to the "Texas Steers", they are also commonly referred to as the "Texas College Steers", so I recommend adding these below line 2038 in the data:

* ["Texas College Steers"] = "Texas Steers",
* ["Texas College Lady Steers"] = "Texas Steers",

Change the following lines:

["Waterloo Warriors"] = {"000000", "FFEA3D", "FFFFFF", name1="black", name2="gold", name2="white", cite=""University of Waterloo - Brand - Colour". Retrieved July 25, 2023."},

to

["Waterloo Warriors"] = {"000000", "FFFFFF", "FED34C", name1="black", name2="white", name3="gold", cite=""Colour | Brand | University of Waterloo". Retrieved September 25, 2024."},

The lines have been added to the sandbox. PensRule11385 (talk) 22:23, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@PensRule11385 Do you have a source for gold being the tertiary color instead of the secondary? The source you linked to lists Gold, Black, White in that order. --Ahecht (TALKPAGE) 16:07, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now that you mention it, yes. I'll fix that in the sandbox. The line now reads: ["Waterloo Warriors"] = {"000000", "FFFFFF", "FED34C", name3="gold", name1="black", name2="white", cite=""Colour | Brand | University of Waterloo". Retrieved September 25, 2024."}, PensRule11385 (talk) 18:41, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@PensRule11385 Moving "name3" to the front doesn't actually change anything. If you wanted gold to be the primary color, it would be ["Waterloo Warriors"] = {"FED34C", "000000", "FFFFFF", name1="gold", name2="black", name3="white", cite="{{cite web |title=Colour {{!}} Brand {{!}} University of Waterloo |url=https://uwaterloo.ca/brand/how-express-our-brand/colour#unipalette |accessdate=September 25, 2024}}"} --Ahecht (TALK

@Ahecht I know, however, yellow and white are too close to one another in contrast and can't be arranged in this way if all three are to be used in the college primary template. Additionally, Waterloo uses black as the primary color for their athletic teams, which you can see on the official website link
