Khatayan (Persian: خطايان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Basharyat-e Sharqi Rural District of Basharyat District, Abyek County, Qazvin province, Iran.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 901 in 240 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 884 people in 272 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 802 people in 270 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
