- Comment: I find this to read like an advertisement. Interestingly, I doubt that this scooter would be road legal due to its top speed exceeding 25 km/h by a significant amount. Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 09:35, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
Turboant X7 Max
[edit]Turboant X7 Max is a folding electric scooter designed for commuters from Turboant[1].
Design
[edit]It features an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame with dimensions of 42.6 × 16.5 × 18.1 inches when folded[2]. The scooter weighs 34.6 lb[3]. It includes features such as cruise control, headlights, and a digital LCD speedometer [4]. The LCD display shows essential information such as speed, battery level, riding mode, and light status[5].
Performance
[edit]The Turboant X7 Max is equipped with a 350W brushless motor.[2], which allows it to accelerate to 15 mph in 6.9 seconds before reaching its 20 mph top speed[6]. It includes a 10 Ah detachable battery, providing a range of approximately 32 miles per charge[6]. Additional batteries are available, which can extend the range[4]. The scooter supports a maximum rider weight of up to 275 lbs and has an IPX4 waterproof rating[3]. The electric scooter includes an electronic braking system on the front wheel and a disc brake on the rear wheel, providing ample stopping power[1]. The scooter was tested on a standard hill climbing course with a 250 lb rider, featuring a 0.5-mile hill with a 100-foot elevation gain and two 10% grade sections. It climbed the hill in 3 minutes and 31 seconds, achieving an average speed of 8.48 mph[1]
Considerations
[edit]The placement of the battery and controller in the stem results in a heavier front end and increased top-heaviness, which can affect handling and control.[5]
Awards
[edit]In 2022, the Turboant X7 Max was awarded Best Electric Scooter of the Year by Electric Scooter Insider Awards within the sub-$600 category[6].
