Draft:Walt Snickenberger

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Walt Snickenberger, Princeton class of 1974, was one of the University's greatest athletes of all time. He was captain of both the varsity football and hockey teams and earned three letters in each sport over his time at the school.

In addition, "Snick" set countless records on the football field. He left the school as the Tigers' all time leading rusher (now 6th best in school history), rushing touchdowns, and all purpose yards. He was the Tigers' first ever recipient of the Ivy League player of the year and received the Bushnell Cup in 1974.

Walt was names to the All-Ivy first team twice and as an NCAA All-American in 1974. This honor was the first time an Ivy-Leaguer had been named to the All-American team without having a winning record, which showcased his all around individual success.

His post-Tiger football career included the American Bowl All Star game, where he was named to the North Team as well as a stint on the New England Patriots practice squad.
