Draft:Vicky Angelaki

Vicky Angelaki (b. 1980) is a literary scholar and full professor in comparative literature (professor i litteraturvetenskap) at Mid Sweden University (Mittuniversitetet), where she has been based since 2020. Her research focuses on the environmental arts and humanities; theatre, society and politics; translation and adaptation.

Angelaki previously held academic positions at the University of Reading (Associate Professor of Theatre, 2016-20), the University of Birmingham (Lecturer in Drama, 2012-16) and Birmingham City University (Lecturer in English and Drama, 2009-12). She has also served as Visiting Professor at Sapienza University of Rome (2022). She was awarded her PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, in 2009. Her Doctoral research focused on the British playwright Martin Crimp (b. 1956).
