VSK Insurance is one of the largest private insurance companies in Russia ranked 5th by net written non-life premiums value in 2023.[1] The company's legal name is Insurance Joint Stock Company VSK[2] (Abbreviation: IJSK VSK, Russian romanization: SAO "VSK"[3]). The company is headquartered in Moscow, Russia. Its two registered trademarks are VSK Insurance House and the All-Russian Insurance Company.

[edit]VSK Insurance is licensed to carry out activities for more than 100 types of insurance for individuals and legal entities, including reinsurance.
The company currently maintains nearly 90 regional branches throughout Russia.
VSK Insurance is a member company of the All-Russian Union of Insurers, the Russian Association of Motor Insurers,[4] the National Union of Liability Insurers,[5] the National Association of Agriculture Insurers,[6] the Russian Association of Aviation and Space Insurers, the Russian Nuclear Insurance Pool[7] and the Russian Antiterrorism Insurance Pool.
Financial indicators
[edit]Marillion Auditing Firm[8] claims in its report on VSK Insurance annual consolidated financial statements[9] that the premiums of VSK Insurance amounted to RUB 137.2 billion in 2023 and its insurance payments amounted to RUB 63.4 billion. As of the end of 2023, the company's market share exceeded 5%[1]
According to the IFRS financial statements[9], the net income of VSK Insurance amounted to RUB 11.7 billion in 2023 (RUB 5.2 billion in 2022[10]). As of 2023, the company's assets amounted to RUB 197.4 billion[9] (RUB 166.9 billion in 2022[10]).
Financial ratings
[edit]- In 2019, the ACRA Analytical Credit Rating Agency assigned VSK Insurance the AA(RU) credit rating which has been updated annually since then, and ACRA assigned VSK Insurance the AA(RU) Positive rating in 2023 and 2024[11]
- In 2001, the Expert RA Rating Agency assigned VSK Insurance the A++ financial reliability rating which has been updated annually since then, being replaced by 'ruAA' in 2017..[12] In August 2024, Expert RA affirmed its insurer financial reliability rating on VSK Insurance at 'ruAA' with stable outlook[3]
