Submission declined on 8 May 2023 by S0091 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by S0091 16 months ago. |
Submission declined on 30 March 2023 by AngusWOOF (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. - Comment: Many of the sources are interviews, rely on Trizzy's statements or press releases/announcements which are not independent so cannot be used to establish notability. Others are PR/SEO so not reliable (i.e. PMB) or local. Also note iTunes (or other streaming platforms) is not a recognized chart (see WP:CHARTS). If resubmitted with better sources, suggest outlining on the draft's talk page with the three (and ONLY three) sources that show notability per the above guideline. - Comment: Which criteria does this artist meet in WP:MUSICBIO? I don't see any charting. There are major paragraphs that are unsourced and read like PR verbiage, for example, "fiery delivery, ferocious lyricism, metaphors, and uplifting "we gonna make it" attitude". - Comment: I'm 70% confident that this draft was created by a sock of the creator behind the original versions of this article. I would approve, but I want someone to at least one other editor to check if this draft passes the smell test. Pbritti (talk) 19:41, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

Travon Donique Howard (born April 11, 1995), better known by his stage name Trizzy,[1] is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Utica, New York, he began his recording career as a teenager and first garnered regional attention and praise for his mixtapes in the early 2010s. He released his first album, Winners Never Quit, in May 2016.
Career
[edit]Howard started his music career as a producer and gained the nickname "Trizzy Beats" in the process. Trizzy first gained recognition following the release of his 2013 single “My Own Style”. In early 2014, he self-released his third mixtape, Success vs. Fame. He issued his fourth mixtape, Let Me Introduce Myself, in 2015. His debut studio album, Winners Never Quit, was released on May 9, 2016.[2] Trizzy released his second album, My Name Is Trizzy, on June 1, 2018. Previously, he released the first single for the album “I Won” and its music video on April 20, 2018, on YouTube.[3] Later that year, he saw further recognition for his guest appearance on Michael Wavves's single "On The Low...".[4]
For his first release in 2019, he teamed up with American rapper Tonee Marino & released the song “Bossed Up”. They performed the song live for the first time at SOB's. Tracy Mitchell of Respect described it as “catchy and swaggy”, adding that they "had the entire crowd lit" and left "with some new supporters."[5] On June 12, 2020, he appeared as a feature alongside American rapper John Cardiff on Canadian rapper JT5K’s "Came From Nothing".[6] In 2021, Trizzy released several collaborative singles, including collaborating with 808 Mafia producer Tarentino.[7]
