Saeed Shafiei Sabet received his PhD at Leiden University in the Netherlands. He is a behavioural biologist and underwater acoustics researcher.[1][2]
Early life and Education
[edit]Sabet completed his PhD from Leiden University in the Netherlands. His doctoral research focused on the impact of sound exposure with different temporal patterns on the behaviour of zebrafish and cichlids.[3]
Career
[edit]After completing his PhD, Sabet joined the University of Guilan in Iran as a research fellow. He has also been involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students in the field of animal behaviour. Sabet is currently a reader in animal behaviour and a postdoctoral research and teaching fellow.[3]
Sabet is an active member of the REED Ecological Network and the Animal Behaviour Live community.[citation needed]
Research and Contributions
[edit]Sabet's research primarily revolves around the effects of anthropogenic noise on aquatic species. He has explored how noise pollution affects predator-prey interactions and the stress responses of various aquatic organisms.[3] His work aims to raise awareness about the negative impacts of human-induced noise on wildlife.[citation needed]
