Ritesh Hada is the Promoter & Managing Director of United Group. The Group is presently operating in the verticals of Education, FMCG, Hospitality, and Textiles. He became the president of Karnavati University in 2017. A prestigious private university with 8 top-notch institutes and more than 8500 students on campus, which is located in Gujarat.
Ritesh Hada is the son of Kamal Hada and Dropdi Hada. He was born and brought up in Kolkata. He graduated from Bhawanipur Education Society College, and later he went to the UK to complete his post-graduation at De Montfort University, U.K. Later in 2004, he started his journey as the president of the Karnavati Medical Education Trust.
Under his leadership, Karnavati University has persistently elevated its standards of education, research, creativity, and innovation.
Early life After completing his postgraduate degree, in 2003, Ritesh Hada moved to Ahmedabad. In 2004, he started working on his dreams of providing quality education to the students and started construction of Karnavati School of Dentistry. Further ahead, in 2005, he ventured into textiles with United Polyfab Ltd. Continuing his dream of becoming an excellence in the education industry, he established Singapore International School, Mumbai, in 2005. In 2006–2007, he ventured into healthcare with United Health Care by acquiring 7 medical colleges in the Philippines. in 2000, he established a business school, the Unitedworld School of Business (UWSB), in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
In 2007, he expanded operations and opened UWSB in three other places: Hyderabad, Delhi, and Singapore. To fill the gap in the design talent pool for the industrial and non-industrial sectors, in 2012, the United Group opened the United Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, which is affiliated with the Gulbarga University and contributes to shaping the skills of talented designers in various design disciplines.
In 2018, students of the Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID), a constituent of Ahmedabad based Karnavati University, launched a clothing label called Colour Me Young by organizing a fashion show
In 2014, he started the Unitedworld School of Law. In 2017, Government of Gujarat granted Private University status to Karnavati University
Personal Life
He has a brother named Nilesh Hada, who is founder of Singapore International School and SIS Prep - Mumbai, a sister named Priti Khaitan, who is married to Shakti Khaitan and residing in Kolkata. Ritesh Hada got married to Neeti Hada in the year 2010 and has two kids, Reyyansh Hada and Shree Hada.
