The Ranjha family in Mandi Bahauddin is a Punjabi Muslims feudal family part of Ranjha (clan), A Jat clan of Punjabis. The elite aristocrat family of Kirana Bar Kot Sher Muhammad.They had played a vital role in the field of Politics & Bureaucracy during the time of British India and after the partition respectively. They are found in a Punjab region of present day Pakistan. Most of their family members got education from Chiefs Aitchison College Lahore. They are elected for eleven times as the member of Parliment Moreover this family is the Chief head family of Ranjha (clan) & amongst the Big Industrialist,landowner families of Punjab. They have extensive lands on the belt of kadhi & kirana Bar. They were also running Jauharabad Textile & Towel Mills and owned a large share in Pepsi Cola. They are the Largest landowner family of Mandi Bahauddin District. They were honoured with the entitlement of Zaildar and were rewarded with Jagir in district Lyallpur at the time of British India. The Ranjha Family of kot sher Muhammad are descendents of Chaudhary Jalal. Chaudhary Fazal Elahi Ranjha was A prominent feudal Landlord and head of this Family. His both sons remained MLA Members Punjab Legislative Assembly. Chaudhary Jalal was the founder of this family who was a large landowner and influential person before and during the time of British India.During 19th century.After 19th century this family started having influential role in Punjabi Politics and Bureaucracy till date as first this family was situated in west gujrat but later on during last stages of 20th century due to strong positions and influence in the Politics and Bureaucracy Ranjha Family was able to seperate themselves from the Gujrat district which was later Named as Mandi Bahauddin District during July 1,1993 when Chaudhary Ikram Ullah Ranjha was MPA member provincial assemblyhttps://www.pap.gov.pk/uploads/previous_members/L-1990-1993.shtml and Special Advisor to Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Manzoor Wattoo.
