Oluwamayokun Omonigho Irabor (born October 11, 1994) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, business consultant, and community leader. She is an Executive Director at Ichoose Right Youth Foundation, an organization dedicated to guiding young people in making informed career and social choices. She is also the Founder and CEO of Thrive in Canada,[1] an initiative aimed at helping new immigrants transition smoothly into Canadian life, offering them support, resources, and a sense of community. Her passion for empowering others led her to found Thrive in Business formerly Mays Consulting, a consultancy that provides business support, branding, and process improvement services to entrepreneurs and small businesses, helping them grow and succeed both locally and internationally
Early life and Education
[edit]Oluwamayokun was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University in 2014.
Career
[edit]Oluwamayokun Irabor began her career in 2015 as the CEO of Image Doctor Ltd,[2] a media and branding firm based in Ibadan, Nigeria. Her work focused on helping businesses strengthen their brand identity and marketing strategies. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Award[3]and was nominated for the 25 Under 25 Awards[4] by SME100[5] for her outstanding contributions to the business landscape.
In 2019, She became a regional lead at Pavilion Technologies,[6] a subsidiary of the Honeywell Group. By 2020, Oluwamayokun became the Executive Director of Ichoose Right Youth Foundation, where she spearheaded initiatives aimed at addressing social issues among teenagers. She authored two books, "The Social Challenge"[7] and "Unveiling Secrets", which were distributed to over 1,000 children as part of a campaign to educate youth on making informed social decisions and recognizing signs of abuse.
In 2023, she became the CEO of Thrive in Canada,[8] an initiative dedicated to helping new immigrants integrate successfully into Canadian society.[9] Through Thrive, she has impacted the lives of hundreds of immigrants by providing them with essential resources, mentorship, and community support.
