From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ludovico Saint Amour di Chanaz (born in Rome, Italy, February 12th, 1994) is an Italian and French scientist, writer, mental health advocate and entrepreneur. His work in research focused on memory,[1] the invention of a new analysis method for neurophysiological data[2] and a thesis on the formation and retrieval of episodic memories in epileptic patients.[3] He is the writer behind popular script of the YouTube Channel Sprouts Schools[4] and the face behind TikTok and instagram channels brain.curiosities.[5]

Ludovico was born in Rome, Italy, but moved around the world for his studies, and currently resides in Barcelona, Spain, where he resides since 2018.

Education and Early Life

[edit]

Ludovico followed his education in the French School Lycée Chateaubriand de Rome until he was 13 and then moved to Athens, Greece, where he pursued his high school years in the Lycée Franco-Hellenique Eugène Delacroix, where he graduated with honors.[6]

At 18, he moved to Paris, where he completed a Bachelor of Biology at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC, formely known as Paris6, now part of Sorbonne Universités), where he also took part in student life as a Student Union President.[7] In 2015, he moved to London, UK, to pursue the Dual Masters in Brain and Mind Sciences at UCL[8] and spent a second year of Masters in Paris, joint with UPMC and the ENS.

In 2018, he moved to Barcelona to start his Doctorate in Cognitive Neurosciences, that he completed in January 2024[9] with a Cum Laude mention for his advance on methodology on neurophysiological signal processing.

Career

[edit]

In 2022, Ludovico opened a TikTok channel brain.curiosities[10] following a diagnosis of ADHD. He started talking about his lived experiences and complemented his videos with scientific resources. In 2023, he started working for the YouTube channel Sprouts Schools[11] after being with them on a voluntary basis since late 2021.

Over the course of these 2 years, Ludovico would host a Podcast on ADHD, inviting researchers and experts to talk about their experiences and expertise.[12]

In May 2023, Ludovico published his first paper on endconding and retrieval of episodic memories and the associated neurological signals[13] that got recognized in national press.[14]

In 2024, he got invited on several podcasts[15] on ADHD to talk about his experience and own epertise.

In March 2024, along with the Sprouts Team, he won an award for accessibility of educational content at the TREFF film festival (Tromsø, Norway).[16]

In June 2024, he started his business braincuriosities[17] as an ADHD Coach, and Keynote Speaker.

In Spetember 2024, he was recognized for his expertise, and became part of the network of Shiftbalance,[18] a consultation company focusing on neurodiversity, working with the World Trade Organization, and the UN, and was invited on the Podcast of Dr Jolene Brightnen.[19]
