Submission declined on 27 September 2024 by SafariScribe (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Han E (simplified Chinese: 韩娥; traditional Chinese: 韓娥; pinyin: Hán é) was a legendary[1] wandering courtesan from the state of Han active during the Zhou Dynasty of China.
Life
[edit]Little is known about the life of Han E beyond that she was a native of the State of Han who made her living as a traveling singer. She is attested to in the Taoist manuscript Liezi which contains an account of her ability as a performer. She was said to be so skilled that her singing captivated the regions she visited, and that many local singing traditions were inspired by her. [2] It is recorded that her singing was so good that it lingered with those who listened to it for days. [3][4] The authenticity of these stories is unclear[5], however, as Han E's story is not recorded in the historical Record of Music. [2]

这些故事的真实性我们姑且不论,但是它们至少透露出,早在先秦时代中国就出现了职业音乐人,而且具有较高的音乐造诣,当然,故事中的描述多少有些夸张的成分。
[The authenticity of these tales cannot be determined, but they reveal that there were professional singers in China as early as the pre-Qin era, with a high level of musical achievement, even though the stories are more or less exaggerated.]
