The German occupation of Moresnet was a German occupation that occurred during the First World War.

Occupation
[edit]The 6th Army occupied Moresnet within half an hour, on 4 August 1914.[1] In total 147 Moresnets died from war related causes.
Aftermath
[edit]according to the Treaty of Versailles of 1919, in Articles 32 and 33, Germany renounced its claims to this territory and it became part of Belgium.[2]
