The Disruptive Futures Institute is a global think tank offering education, applied research, and capacity building for foresight, resiliency, and driving transformative change.[1] The Institute was founded in San Francisco in 2020 with the purpose of to democratize futures intelligence by helping as many individuals as possible stay relevant in our complex world.[2][3]

The Institute offers thought leadership and research organized into four integrated activities:

Education

The Institute helps organizations worldwide develop futures intelligence, build foresight capabilities and resiliency through tailored executive education programs, masterclasses, and custom workshops. As the world’s capital for understanding disruption and uncertainty, the Institute educates through courses, keynotes, an publications.[4]

Strategic Foresight

The Institute advises leadership teams and their organizations, boards, investors, and policymakers on anticipatory governance, sustainable value creation, and systems innovation.[5]

Climate Academy

The DFI Sustainability & Climate Academy is a sustainable futures practice and flagship center for climate education, which empowers leaders to accelerate the energy transition through transformative change and capacity building for resilience.[6]

Center for Human & Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Techistential Center for Human & Artificial Intelligence was created to research and publish on the future of strategic decision-making and AI, with a focus on ethical, existential, and technology foresight. This field of research includes existential considerations in relation to the impact of humanity’s decision-making in the context of advancing AI systems.[7]
