Campbell McNeil was a double Commonwealth Games Scottish swimmer. He represented Scotland at the 1986 Games in Edinburgh and the 1990 Games in Auckland.

Campbell was the ASA British Champion for 400m freestyle at the 1989 Nationals held in Coventry. Later that year Campbell represented GB at the European Championships in Bonn where he set a new Scottish record for the 400m freestyle.
