C. Prem Kumar is an Indian film director, screenwriter and cinematographer primarily associated with Tamil cinema. He is widely known for his critically acclaimed debut as a director with the film "'96" (2018), which became a huge success both commercially and critically.
Early life
[edit]C. Prem Kumar hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Before making his mark in the film industry as a director, he was established as a cinematographer, working on several Tamil films. He had a passion for visual storytelling, which led him to work behind the camera and later to move into direction.
