Archie Chernov (Arkadiy Chernov, Аркадий Чернов) is a Russian visionary entrepreneur, space and community developer.

A - Aspired by Arcadia

“Dream globally, act locally for the personal benefit of all.”

My name, Arkadiy, is derived from Arcadia, the idyllic and harmonious paradise of ancient Greek mythology. Arcadia represents a utopia where humans live in simple, natural harmony, free from the complexities of urban life. My star aspiration is to manifest a modern Arcadia—a decentralized country built on principles of harmony, creativity, and well-being. I focus on building spaces and cities of the new generation, where people thrive in balance with nature, technology, and community, creating a decentralized, harmonious world of happy spaces. Archie is my nickname I’ve got in America and it’s also short from my first name Ar(Arkadiy) and last name Chie (Chernov).

I was born in the USSR (now Russia) to a family of engineers and graduated from Moscow Ecological University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1993, I moved to the United States, where I launched my first business—a furniture and textile distribution company in partnership with Dr. Beno Sternlich. My career has since expanded globally, with operations in China, Europe, Central Asia, and Russia. I am deeply rooted in traditional family values and strive to build positive, meaningful relationships across borders and cultures.

“Circle of life is C5: Creative Collaborations and Culture Capitalization through effective Communication!”

I believe that collaboration is a superpower. My focus is on leveraging technologies for city and community development. My concept, TRI-NITI (Territories for Realization of Ideas: Native, Integrated, Technological, & Innovative), integrates the work-live-play model within cities and settlements. By combining marketplaces, logistical centers, manufacturing hubs, educational campuses, and hospitality resorts, I foster creative collaborations and capitalize on culture through effective communication (mc5). I have participated in notable projects like the “Expo City” with Shawn Samson and Stan Gale, co-founder of Songdo City in South Korea, and am currently developing “Eco City KARKYRA” in Kyrgyzstan and “WiBe Gorod in Tatarstan”, Russia.

H - Happiness

“Be happy and help others be happy! Happiness together is the ultimate goal.”  

My mission is to live a happy life, help others achieve happiness, and create happy spaces and cities. I promote a global movement called Happy Life Stream (HLS), with happiness as the main focus in urban design and cultural development. My personal framework for happiness, H.A.P.P.I., stands for Health, Aspiration, Partnerships, Pleasure, and Impacts. I enjoy hobbies like art, design, tennis, ice hockey, chess, organizing creative events and spaces.

Throughout my career, I have strived to create meaningful and lasting impacts across a variety of sectors, benefiting individuals, communities, and the environment. Here are some key examples of my impact:

Beauty & Comfort Impact:  

   Delivered cozy and beautiful homes to hundreds of thousands by providing high-quality furniture and home textiles through our businesses. Our premium fabrics have enhanced the comfort and aesthetic appeal of countless households. Made hundreds educational seminars and presentations for professional designers and home decorators.

Green Impact:  

   As a board member of the Russian Green Building Council (RuGBC), I worked with the Russian government to improve green standards in construction and helped businesses enhance their ecological impact, making a positive contribution to sustainable development.

Supportive Impact for Children:

   Through the "Zvet Zhizni" foundation, I have helped families with sick children and supported children's homes, providing much-needed assistance to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable members of society.

Educational & Entrepreneurial Impact:

   I have helped guide and motivate students to pursue careers in social entrepreneurship through the "Triniti Volunteers" and "Vdokhnovitely & Mechtately" movements, empowering young people to make a difference in their communities.

Happiness Impact:

   Through festivals, educational presentations, and publications, I have promoted happiness and well-being, inspiring thousands to lead happier and more fulfilled lives.

   I have worked with regional communities and governments through the "Living Cities" programs, helping them create better urban environments that foster social connection and sustainable growth.

Textile Distribution & Conversion: Arben Textile, Galleria Arben, Flandria, Textoria, Arben agencies in China since 2000 and USA since 1994, over 50 own distribution warehouses in Russia, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Uzbekistan.

Manufacturing of Textile (Red Spider, China; Tapestries @ Romania, Moldova, Orenburg RF) , Furniture (Gaber, Darso, Yarn (Diamond yarn, Italy; Chenille Yarn, Romania)

Retail and Commercial Real Estate Management: Retail chains "Zvet Divanov" (up to 650 stores), tapestry stores,  Italian furniture brands such as "Natuzzi", “Amika Moda” and "Chateau d’Ax". Furniture Centers “Mebel Park” (350 tenants, 50,000 m2) and “Family Room”, multifunctional city center “Slavia” (city of Shelkovo, 60,000 m2), Design Center “MOD Design”.
