Cesar Mora is an Australian professional vert skater and a prominent figure in the development of vert skating. He is the only skater to have competed in all ten of the first X Games, securing multiple medals during his career.[1] Mora won the gold medal in vert skating at the 1998 X Games, along with silver medals in 1995 and 1999, and a bronze in 2000.

Originally born in Madrid, Spain, Mora moved to Sydney, Australia, where he began his skating career. Prior to skating, he represented Australia in youth soccer, traveling to the United States and England before training with the Spanish football club Rayo Vallecano. Upon returning to Sydney, Mora started skating at Bondi Beach, where he honed his skills on the vert ramp and quickly gained recognition for his explosive and creative skating style.

Mora was ranked as the number-one skater in the world multiple times and was a world champion in vert skating. He skated for Roces Skates from 1994 to 1998, before switching to K2 Skates from 1999 to 2004. In addition to his skating career, Mora also pursued artistic interests, including illustration, creative drawing, and graphic design.

In 1998, Mora made history as the first skater to land a 1080° in competition and followed that achievement by landing a reverse 1260° later that year. Known for his acrobatic skills, particularly his signature backflips, Mora was a fan favorite and frequently praised for his ability to entertain crowds with his high-energy performances.

Throughout his career, Mora avoided significant injuries until a fall at the 2000 Melbourne Planet X Games resulted in a broken arm and wrist. After a brief hiatus to recover, he returned to skating, continuing to perform his well-known repertoire of spins, flips, and airs.

Mora's contributions to the sport extend beyond his achievements in competitions. He was a strong advocate for a drug-free lifestyle and a role model for younger skaters. His commitment to safety led him to wear a helmet during his performances, a practice he adopted after being required to do so during his first tour in the United States.

In 2003, Mora was featured in the video game Rolling, alongside some of the most prominent skaters of the time. His legacy as a pioneer in vert skating continues to influence the sport, and he remains an important figure in its history.
