What should be the criteria for inclusion in the Clan Tree or Sub-clan listings in Category:Somali clans articles? -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:16, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have just discovered that I have made three reverts to the Marehan article today. I was about to perform a fourth, and figured I had better try a different approach. I have been reverting to User:CambridgeBayWeather's version of the "Clan tree" section (example), for reasons that I have described at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Somalia#Clan lineage. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:16, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone through the ones listed here and updated the tree where possible. I used Worldbank, Conflict in Somalia: Drivers and Dynamics, January 2005, Appendix 2, Lineage Charts, p.55 Figure A-1, p56 Figure A-2 and p57 Figure A-3 and Country Information and Policy Unit, Home Office, Great Britain, Somalia Assessment 2001, Annex B: Somali Clan Structure, p. 43 as the references. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 07:10, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, that was no small effort! Thanks! -- Gyrofrog (talk) 07:37, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
