The Cascade Party of Washington is a minor political party in the United States located in the state of Washington. Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic founded the centrist[1] party in 2024.[2][3] The party hoped to gather 1,000 signatures in order to qualify as a political party in Washington, however it hopes to not appear on the ballot in the 2024 presidential election.[2][4] In order to garner support, it collected signatures during Novoselic's concerts.[1] It qualified as a minor political party in Washington on August 24, 2024, and its request to be omitted from the 2024 presidential election ballot in the state was granted the same day.
