The 2024–25 Southeastern Conference men's basketball season will began with practices in October followed by the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, which will start November 3, 2024. Conference will begin on January 4, 2024, and will end in March, after which 16 member teams will participate in the 2025 SEC men's basketball tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA tournament.

This is the first season with 16 members of the conference as Texas and Oklahoma joined the conference before the start of the 2024–25.
