ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:17, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]

I've been editing this article to let it go on the front page; User:Gerda Arendt has also volunteered to work on it. You should get a notice here (and in your e-mail, if you configured that) when it gets to the front page. I've rephrased a few bits, mostly to avoid being too close to the phrasing of the sources, and I've added a bunch of media (including a computer-generated sound file of the first movement; I wish we had proper recordings).

I know you're probably pretty angry right now; if you ever get to feeling that you might be willing to edit again, I hope you'll consider the Wikipedia:Standard offer. HLHJ (talk) 20:50, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Clara Schumann

[edit]

On 19 December 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Clara Schumann, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the pianist Clara Schumann, who toured Europe for decades, taught 68 students at Dr. Hoch's in Frankfurt, including those from Britain and the U.S.? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Clara Schumann. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Clara Schumann), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DYK for En blanc et noir

[edit]

On 20 December 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article En blanc et noir, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in his 1915 En blanc et noir for two pianos, Claude Debussy quoted Luther's hymn "Ein feste Burg" and dedicated the work in part to Jacques Charlot, who fell in World War I? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/En blanc et noir. DYK for Nocturnes (Debussy)

[edit]

On 17 February 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Nocturnes (Debussy), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the third of Claude Debussy's three Nocturnes for orchestra requires a women's chorus to sing wordlessly like sirens? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Nocturnes (Debussy). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Nocturnes (Debussy)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000.
