Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:39, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

3rr warning

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on American Idol (season 8). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Aspects (talk) 21:36, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be doing the same thing on List of Eurovision: Your Country Needs You contestants, why don't we discuss the issue of colours on the talk page. Reverting without explanation is not acceptable. Camaron | Chris (talk) 18:19, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Refactoring other people's comments

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:American Idol (season 8), is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 16:44, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:American Idol (season 8). Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Jackieboy87 (talk · contribs) 23:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A couple of suggestions

[edit]

I thought I would give you a couple of suggestions that should make your edits and time more worthwhile here at Wikipedia. The first suggestion is to add your own sandbox page where you could make table edits and then link to that from the talk page instead of putting a table in the talk page for each change you are proposing. The second suggestion is to use the "Show preview" button to the right of the "Save page" button. Yesterday you kept making many small changes when you could have look at the Show preview to see what the changes would look like. Aspects (talk) 00:44, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do not refactor/delete others' comments from talk pages

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:American Idol (season 8), you will be blocked for vandalism. Aspects (talk) 01:51, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
