Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Foolish Age. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( in the enhanced toolbar, or if you use the old "classic" toolbar) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Largoplazo (talk) 12:15, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Elizabeth Michael, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Consensus

[edit]

It may not have been clear that I was actually doing you a favor by posting on WP:RSN about the disagreement at Elizabeth Michael. I did it out of good faith, to try to get input from people not already involved and who have experience analyzing the reliability of sources. When I failed to get any input, I also posted at WP:WikiProject Africa notifying them of the WP:RSN discussion. Well, so far we've received only one comment, and that person acknowledged that the sources I cited are generally reliable.

However, you're the one seeking to remove sourced, substantive material, so ordinarily it would fall upon you to try to establish consensus based on policy (not original research, not appeals to how much hate I supposedly most have as Terry Allen ascribed to me) to do so. No such consensus has been achieved. And I'm done trying to seek it on your behalf. You're welcome to pursue any of the avenues for dispute resolution that Wikipedia makes available. But removing that content without policy-based justification is vandalism. Largoplazo (talk) 14:14, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
