I'm having second thoughts about this one. Crap isn't a swear word in the US? Knitsey (talk) 23:33, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Knitsey, "crap" is mildly vulgar, and its primary meaning is "low quality" although it also means "feces". I wouldn't call it a swear word. Cullen328 (talk) 01:34, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
My mum begs to differ lol. No, thats fair enough. Please delete this if appropriate. Knitsey (talk) 01:36, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
If only, Knitsey, your mum, who I am sure is a wonderful person, had pondered the borderline UAA cases as deeply as us Wikipedia nerds have. Tell her about the Teahouse and let her know that an old man in California says "hi". Cullen328 (talk) 08:22, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Place requests for new or upgrading pending changes, semi-protection, full protection, move protection, create protection, template editor protection, or upload protection at the BOTTOM of this section. Check the archive of fulfilled and denied requests or, failing that, the page history if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Declined – No changes to the current protection level are required at this point in time. Edits are rare, no disruption for months. Lectonar (talk) 07:00, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

A good editor and content creator, they have created a total of 133 articles. One was deleted via G14 in 2022, and another was deleted via A3 back in 2014. Since then, they have created many BLPs and other topic articles, none of which have been deleted. I think they are good to go. GrabUp - Talk 16:44, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
Not done. I think it's been some ten years User:Hansmuller, since we interacted on nl:Lise Meitner. It's nice to see you here. I see you've been blocked indefinitely in the Dutch Wikipedia for various conflicts in Wikipedia space unrelated to article content, but this did not impact my decision.
I've checked ~10 creations and have noted & tagged one major issue (an uncited short para in a BLP), and a few minor ones (formatting, which I've corrected). You tend to WP:OVERCITE (having 4-5 citations after a paragraph, for instance in Sol de Carvalho), which makes it more difficult to connect sources to specific content. It might be better to put additional citations in a Further reading section if there is unused information in them. I'm also a bit concerned with the Car speed and energy consumption AfD, which resulted in a redirect. Created end of December, it shows essay and textbook tendencies which I don't expect in articles from autopatrolled editors.
Overall, feel free to nominate yourself when you've created another 8-12 clean articles, as we're not far from the threshold. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 14:08, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
GnocchiFan has made 5,000+ edits this year alone including seven Good Articles. They make extensive use of WMF Library to improve sourcing and prose. I believe they are both an excellent editor and also communicator, evident at sensitive article topics at 1984 anti-Sikh riots and Gender and sexual minorities in the Ottoman Empire. In short, let's reduce NPP backlog by giving them auto-patrolled status. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 12:11, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

I would like to introduce another editor with a strong history of editing and article creation. They have created 2,114 articles, including 2 GAs. Their creations include BLPs, which are essential for obtaining the AP flag. Only one of their articles was deleted in 2023 via AfD, and others are G6. Since then, no articles have been deleted. I believe it would be beneficial to grant them this right to help reduce the NPP backlog. GrabUp - Talk 13:27, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
I found out after nominating that they had previously been granted AP by MusikAnimal, but it was later revoked in 2022 by Primefac due to copyright violations. I am not withdrawing the nomination, as it was two years ago, and the issue may have been resolved, so let’s see if they can be trusted now. GrabUp - Talk 13:42, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

Not done Thank you for having been bored, GreenLipstickLesbian. That was a productive piece of work. There's no way that Suslindisambiguator should be autopatrolled. Schwede66 08:37, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Seems to be an experienced content creator whose creations are no longer in need of input from NPP. They don't have a clean record of their articles being kept at AfD, but the last deletion was a year and half and 60 articles ago, and looking through a random sampling of their work since then doesn't reveal any major issues. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 04:50, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Can i please have extended confirmed rights back. I lost it because one day when i had a little less than 500 edits, i made about 45-55 edits in one hour in order to get to 500 edits. Im new to this site and didn't know gaming edits was against the rules. Ever since i lost the extended confirmed thing, I've made hundreds of edits i think are constructive and i stopped vandalism a few times and have a much better understanding of the rules. extended confirmed rights HumansRightsIsCool (talk) 21:59, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

I occasionally rename new articles to fix poor titles.
I also sometimes want to move new articles to draftspace.
Generally, neither case needs a redirect for the old title. — GhostInTheMachinetalk to me 11:23, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi, as part of working at AfC I come across submissions on editors main userpage or sandbox that need to be cleanly moved to draft (i.e. without leaving a redirect). I stopped moving such submissions years ago as if the editor starts another article I was then the creator rather the actual creator which never seemed right to me. It would also be useful for when new editors create/move drafts to the Wikipedia or Template namespaces either in error or attempting to promote/spam. KylieTastic (talk) 12:20, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
I frequently make/request moves – usually either making titles WP:CONCISE, or draftifying/fixing typos in titles as part of WP:NPP. I would like to be able to handle more of these myself, including WP:R2 suppression, but especially WP:MONOTYPICFAUNA pageswaps. These usually require updating the categories afterward, which will be much easier if I'm doing the pageswap myself, rather than remembering to come back once my request at WP:RM/T is carried out. Speaking of which, I've really appreciated WP:RM/T, and if I'm granted the pagemover right I intend to "give back" by handling requests there. jlwoodwa (talk) 01:09, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

I've been doing RC Patrolling (as a part of Anti-Vandalism) on Wikipedia for a while now, and I think that having the Pending Changes reviewer permission could be a good idea - there have been numerous instances involving a pending changes edit that I look at while looking through Special:RecentChanges that i wanted to accept/deny/etc, and i feel that this permission would be beneficial for my efficeincy. I've been patrolling recent changes for a while now and frequently revert vandalism. However, I often come across constructive edits that I can't do much about. I have made quite a few edit requests in the Template talk namespace, as well as edits directly in the template namespace. I always test my changes in the sandbox before making edits directly. I am also a Commons admin and have made lots of technical changes in templates there as well.
