Article name

[edit]

An unfortunate consequence of renaming the page "Yetunde Price" to "Murder of Yetunde Price" is that now when one googles Serena Williams, Serena' siblings are listed as "Venus Williams, Murder of Yetunde Price, Isha Price, Lyndrea Price." I imagine this is quite upsetting for the family. A.T.S. in Texas (talk) 04:35, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Her face

[edit]

"It is rumoured that her savaged face was so ruined that they could not have identified her were there not witnesses who could verify that she was, indeed, the victim." Whereas this may be true, I'm sure anyone who knew her wouldn't want to know this, and even I don't want to know something as upsetting and horrendous as this. Can I request it be taken off please, unless you have a reason for it to stay up. Double Dash 20:06, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

These details were particularly graphic. While that alone doesn't appear to justify their deletion, they contributed nothing to the encyclopedic content of the article. I went ahead and deleted that paragraph; if anyone thinks this was overboard, feel free to revert my edit and post in the discussion. Thanks, Gerta 19:37, 29 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I have removed this again, per WP:WEASEL. If we say that something "is rumoured", please cite those rumours. AecisBrievenbus 12:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Head?

[edit]

Article: 'in the back of the head ' The ESPN article says 'upper torso' ... can anyone verify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cipher2006 (talkcontribs)

The ESPN ref says upper torso; I found two New York Times articles, one says upper body[1], the other says head.[2] BBC says upper torso.[3] CBC says chest.[4] People says upper body.[5] LA Times says head.[6] USAToday says head.[7] CBS had this[8]:

Authorities initially reported she was shot in the chest, but a coroner's spokesman said Tuesday an autopsy showed she died of a gunshot wound to the head.

It looks like the initial reports were torso, but later reports were head. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:36, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment: Start-class

[edit]

The article cites some sources, but could use more. Also could benefit from expansion. For instance: the name of the vehicle's driver, the street on which the shooting took place, and more details about her life. I'll remove the stub template. Stepheng3 (talk) 18:38, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

This article should be merged into Serena Williams or Venus Williams or Richard Williams (tennis). Drcwright (talk) 04:38, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. If the death of the sister of the Letizia, Princess of Asturias is only notable due to her high-profile sibling and Erika's article was redirected, Yetunde's should be as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Morhange (talkcontribs) 00:50, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sisterly connection

[edit]

STOP putting the stub back and removing the boxes/categories for the Williams sisters. They WERE family, so the boxes/categories DO belong. Cease and desist in coming behind me and undoing the work.--68.192.236.182 (talk) 03:08, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Wes sideman: Please discuss your apparent impasse here. You're looking at a possible violation of WP:3RR. (I am not watching this page, so please ping me if you want my attention.) Chris Troutman (talk) 22:08, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Chris troutman: Check Inexpiable's reverts to my changes and then Gabrielle103's contributions. That second account is 7 days old and inexplicable appeared to revert changes on two pages that I edited - making the exact same reverts that Inexpiable made, mere minutes later. Seems extremely likely that they're connected in some way. Wes sideman (talk) 22:11, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To defend myself: I'm not a sockpuppet account. I was patrolling the recent edits and saw that Wes has been edit warring, so I reverted their changes back to Inexpiable's (I say their because I'm not sure what Wes' pronouns are, if they have them that is). This is clearly visible from my recent contributions, in which I have edited multiple articles on or around the same minute as the previous edit (such as Dangerfield Newby, 2022 Lebanese general election and Population displacements in Israel after 1948). I'm just some rando woman lol Gabrielle103 (talk) 23:55, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Turns out that Gabrielle103 was lying. Wes sideman (talk) 14:05, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't we mention that she is a character in King Richard (film)? 98.123.38.211 (talk) 00:03, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
