@Cagliost at al., regarding this edit with comment "So what? Original research.": I think of it more as WP:CALC than WP:OR in that we are free to do simple math in an article if that helps give a better explanation of the material to the reader. For this "half plus seven" rule, failing to achieve the minimum age begs the question as to how long one should wait until the minimum age is achieved.
