Has the English name of the station changed to "Si Hui Dong(E)"?

[edit]

The last time I was in Beijing, in July 2019, the English name of the station was Sihui East. There was no space, and the character 东 was simply translated instead of being romanized. Should I move the page back to Sihui East station, or has the official signage changed to say "Si Hui Dong(E)"? The Beijing Subway website still says "SIHUI East". I have beenthere in 2018 and it was Sihui East as well.--Ymblanter (talk) 09:44, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a 2020 source that goes with "Sihui East": [1] Meanwhile, I'm not finding sources that say "Si Hui Dong(E)" on Google. WanderingWanda (talk) 02:20, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
offical map says Si Hui Dong(E) https://www.bjsubway.com/jpg.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eti15TrSf (talkcontribs) 05:19, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Sihui East stationSi Hui Dong(E) stationEti15TrSf feels strongly that this page should be moved. I have no strong opinion. The rationale for the move is that, on the map on the official subway site, the station name recently changed. Here is the map from last year, when the map called the station "SIHUI East". Now, the map calls it "Si Hui Dong(E)". (The station is near the intersection of the red and light pink lines, towards the right of the image.) However, other sections of the site still call it "SIHUI East". And this government site calls it "Sihui East Station". WanderingWanda (talk) 22:03, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WanderingWanda, the sources you use are NOT up to date. Both of the websites you put here are way out of date and not monitored at all, so they should not be used at all in this discussion, as they do NOT update recent changes. However, the official website of the Beijing Subway refers it to Si Hui Dong(E) station. Here is a timetable with the new name for your convenience. Cheers! What is written at the station itself?--Ymblanter (talk) 07:15, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ymblanter and WanderingWanda, I found some images on Weibo. The route map of the system([2])(updated Dec. 15th, 2019), signs ([3])(Apr. 16, 2020), and the route map of line 1([4])(Apr. 26, 2020) all show that the station name was changed.#ForeverLoveFRDian 你一定要好好的 13:46, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I can notaccess the image, but I do not object against moving the article.--Ymblanter (talk) 14:20, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There are two commons pictures that also refer the station as Si Hui Dong(E) Eti15TrSf (talk) 20:42, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
WanderingWanda, there seems to be more evidence that the station is now Si Hui Dong(E) rather than Sihui East station.Eti15TrSf (talk) 05:48, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, to sum it up, proof that Sihui East station is now called Si Hui Dong(E) station is the official map, in the station online, and 2 user-made maps on commmons, the timetable on the website, and at least 2 examples of station signage showing the new name.
