Can we get a source (or argument) saying that IRV fails reversal symmetry? KVenzke 04:28, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An example where IRV violates reverse symmetry is given in [1]. -- Dissident (Talk) 15:24, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The example there is 40 BCA, 25 CAB, 35 ABC; very neat. This suggests to me that this is not a particularly persuasive criterion --Henrygb 10:38, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Importance of reversal symmetry

[edit]

Can we get a source that says reversal symmetry is mathematically or democratically important? 118.208.55.180 (talk) 01:34, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Any system that allows for a common middle ground, which trivially doesn't change upon reversal, violates this criterion. 2A0A:A544:3:0:5D7:B056:2397:3313 (talk) 2A0A:A544:3:0:5D7:B056:2397:3313 (talk) 08:05, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
