B class review notes

[edit]

B class confirmed by human reviewer. There is one comment. Djmaschek (talk) 19:55, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disposal section, last sentence: "However, as no original aircraft as used by the RNZAF survive..." I did not edit this because it's not wrong, but merely awkward sounding. Suggest: "However, as no original aircraft used by the RNZAF survive..." or "However, since no original aircraft as used by the RNZAF survive..."

Background

[edit]

Entire section is unnecessary. The history of the development of the P-51 is covered in detail on the P-51 page. Mztourist (talk) 08:29, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. The background section has been revised to remove the overwhelming majority of the development discussion. What remains is to give context for the type of aircraft that the P-51 was, and its usage by the air forces of other nations. Zawed (talk) 08:43, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Probably a problem in Orange

[edit]

"Taieri Station" is not correct. The correct designation for the installation would have been "RNZAF Station Taieri," and Checketts might well have been CO 4 Squadron in addition. Heads-up and thankyou for all your hard work Zawed. Buckshot06 (talk) 01:48, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

See for example https://search.worldcat.org/title/station-history-rnzaf-station-taieri/oclc/152398151. Orange did not necessarily know the correct designations. Buckshot06 (talk) 01:50, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
