Name is Wrong

[edit]

Why is his name wrong on the statue?DEUTSCHBLUT (talk) 22:21, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

His name is not wrong on the statue. His name is Anglicised from "Friedrich Wilhelm August Heinrich Ferdinand" to "Frederick William Augustus Henry Ferdinand". Ogress 23:15, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Major General Friedrich Wilhelm von SteubenStatue of Friedrich Wilhelm von SteubenWP:VAMOS has been updated and now says: "For portrait sculptures of individuals in public places the forms "Statue of Fred Foo" "Equestrian statue of Fred Foo" or "Bust of Fred Foo" is recommended, unless a form such as "Fred Foo Memorial" or "Monument to Fred Foo" is the WP:COMMONNAME. If further disambiguation is needed, because there is more than one sculpture of the same person with an article, then disambiguation by location rather than the sculptor is usually better." --Another Believer (Talk) 22:07, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Google maps does not show

[edit]

I understand this is not necessarily relevant to this article. That said when one tries to find the location of this on google maps it is not listed. Von Steuben is the only one of four not show on google maps.

I have tried to get the statue listed, but to no avail. Philfromwaterbury (talk) 16:45, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
