I am amazed that an excessively credulous belief like Chathan is presented in Wiki, without any kind of citation, or authority. The whole legend that appears in the page is nothing but a concocted story, used by Chathan Seva families, which lack any kind of authentic source.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Samswarna (talkcontribs) 10:18, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

What specifically is the spam you're talking about? - MrOllie (talk) 13:51, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Who told you chathans are demons. If you don't know that is not my concern.Did you know sree raman? .He done vishnumaya upasana. In the time of rama ravana war.Rama worshiped vishnumaya,so you are saying "mahavishnu" did something wrong ?.Almost all temple vishnumaya is deity.Again you are saying kerala people not to worship?. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 43.229.88.30 (talkcontribs)

You keep calling the older version of the article 'spam'. Please explain what you mean by that, rather than continuing to edit war by changing the topic of the article to something different from what the page URL would indicate. - MrOllie (talk) 16:01, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am living in thrissur district only.I clearly know the age of the temple. And I know aithihyamala, which is more then 100 year old.it clearly mention about avanangattilkalari vishnumaya temple.all idols other temple mostily brought from avanangattilkalari.even devastanam kanadi temple they were workers of avanangattilkalari, they are only 20 or 30 year old.and you are adding fake information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 43.229.88.198 (talkcontribs)

Thanks for your comment, but I don't really understand how it relates to the question I asked. What specifically is spam? - MrOllie (talk) 08:52, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

if you reverting and keep wrong information it 's equivalent to spam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mainowner (talkcontribs) 11:02, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

vishnumaya

[edit]

"Kuttichathan".As per your admin right you are protecting this page.i was requesting several times doing like that. But it actual page name was "vishnumaya".Some folks alter actual name for there fraud temple. Please revise actual name and current photo, which copy right claim by one of fraud temple.so please revise same ,if it is not against wiki rights. And vishnumaya not demons. They are god siva and parvati's magical kids. They are gods. Most of kerala temple vishnumaya is sub deity .So if wrong info protection will make huge bad out come.please edit vishnumaya is god.all link b/w "athihayamala" ,which is removed by frauds and change there fraud temple name implemented.

It would be better to cite reliable sources that are talking about the original religious literature rather than citing the original religious literature directly. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:23, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please add the following to the article.

In Kerala, the spirit Kuttichathan is believed to take its revenge on people who stop propitiating it. If a cock is not regularly sacrificed with appropriate incantations, Kuttichathan is believed to cause misery to the family with his horrendous pranks. To editor 99v:  done and since the above was word-for-word right out of the book, the wording has been altered to avoid copyright issues. Thank you for your contributions! P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 14:41, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The subject Kuttichathan is not a demon. He is God. Moreover, it's not one it's 400 to be precise. Exactly 10 Kuttichathans died on war and 390 Kuttichathans still exist. The information posted about Kuttichathan as demon misleads the real devotees so I request you to grant me access to post accurate information about the same. I am a senior technical writer and I can help you guys in improving the content. Thank you. Vinish PR (talk) 21:41, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article currently reflects scholarly sources. You would need to point to reliable sources (preferably scholarly sources) for your changes. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:42, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
