I have removed the link to Harry Flynn.This link led to a catholic bishop.And with the INLA being both communist and an armed paramilitary group it would be very misleadin if someone thought this bishop was in the INLA or the IPLO.Dermo69

Someone should point out the IPLO's dubious distinction of being the only openly homophobic Republican group, having bombed Belfast's only gay bar in the late 80s.

Are you sure it was a homophobic attack? The IPLO demanded "protection" money from lots of pubs & clubs in their turf. User:Tdv123

It wasn't a homophobic attack the IPLO bombed bars & beat owners of bars if they were not paid protetion money. (TommySocialist)

Cosgroves Bar Kings Street Castle Street Belfast

In 1988 The Bar was used by the IPLO as a meeting point, members of staff were harassed and assaulted, on one occasion a bar man was attacked and blinded. 149.50.160.70 (talk) 18:58, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
