Billing

[edit]

Surely this is poor content, the charging mechanisms between Telcos are in themselves worthy of Detail.

In europe with have a series of regulators to match, Open Market considerations will come in to play.

In the UK Offcom (www.offcom.org.uk) would have an insistance on the provison of same services to all, Openreach was formed to seperate the regulated and non regulated bit of the former State Telco BT.

The reults has been everyone and his mother can now provide a broadband service over the old BT copper( they would deny there is Aluminium in the ground but it was cheap in the 80s); hence company xx broadband.

Perhaps this would be be rewritten by someone current on the cross connect and billing systems.

For modern bearer (long distance) MPLS networks in my last Telco we were subject to Regulatory requirements of Government still, for example providing Video Conferencing Switch to a large drinks supplier (no names mentioned) put you in the domain of the FDA in the US; European deregulated markets would not even consider US Government requiremnts of such traffic.

[edit]

I would like to add the zip code in the description of the city where i live. Also, the nearest city , which happens to be the county seat should be added. Moorermary (talk) 01:40, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
